"The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears." ~Indian proverb~

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." ~Nelson Mandela~

"We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the Beautiful Stuff out."  ~Ray Bradbury~

Hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration.

The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation.  ~Author Unknown~

My Interfaith/Deist Commentary

Michael Beckwith, Wayne Dyer, Abraham/Hicks,– Examples of  20th - 21st Century Spiritual Leaders who tell us we can have everything we desire, absolutely everything, and feel good. How many get this message and conclude:  If we don’t feel good all the time, we must be doing it wrong. Doing what wrong? I guess living this life as inferior humans. I think I’ll just give up and stop trying.

Ekhart Tolle, The Dali Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, - Examples of  20th - 21st Century Spiritual Leaders who tell us that we must smash our egos, eliminate all desire and attachment to the material in order to obtain true happiness and bliss. How many get this message and decide: I’ll work on enlightenment in my next life. This is just too hard, I like my stuff! I think I’ll just go shopping.

Deism is a balanced way of understanding and practicing Spirituality and Religion. It incorporates reason, intuition, nature and experience in determining what is believed about God.  It is always evolving, always changing, forever creating.  It may include practices and rituals from several traditions or religions that resonate with one’s individual level of consciousness.

A deist finds in nature (or Natural Law) the answer to, “How can I know God?”  A Deist does not deny that humans have had, and still have, direct revelations from God. A Deist merely believes that an intimate revelation from God need not be shared with the world. An individual’s revelation can only be absolutely true for the one it was revealed to.

I personally believe that true Revelations come in feelings and images that must then be processed into thoughts that are understood as words. To put a Divine Revelation into words that others may understand requires it to be filtered through that person’s experiences in this life and past lives. In using words, it loses something. This “something” that is lost lessens its Truth.

As to channeling from a higher form of being, such as Jane Roberts-Seth or Ester Hick-Abraham,  I have two comments. (1.) The Ascended being is also limited by its own experience. It may well have expanded knowing, yet it is not All Knowing. (2.) Whatever messages it sends must still be filtered through the human language system to be shared with others.

My conclusion to all this is: Believe and act from whatever moves you along on this journey. Live Your Life!  From each of the ancient sacred texts and from all the present-day Gurus, we learn a bit of Truth. Though none of them, ancient or 21st century, have the whole and complete answer. Yet J
